Ottawa Kids Meet Up

We (Some XO adult users) got some of the Ottawa XO child-users together this afternoon for a talking and XO play session. Great fun. Total chaos. And some of us learned a thing or two. I don’t know about anyone else, but I am not an implode addict.

We’re thinking of looking into better digs (read: more open space) for child-user meet ups so that we can have more there and they have more space to run around or to go off in groups if they wish.

Next Kids meet up should be in a couple of weeks time. James and I are also thinking of another all-ages meet-up. So if you’re interested in Ottawa meet ups, watch this space.

First Ottawa Meet Up — The Report

It was a dark and snowy night, as they say… but being citizens of Ottawa none of us were much bothered and the warm and friendly atmosphere inside the Habesha Restaurant more than made up for the weather. I walked in and the place was abuzz. There were XOs everywhere! I was greeted by a hearty handshake by James followed almost immediately by offers of homemade Ethiopian honey/hops firewater. The conversation was immediately easy and fun. Everyone, even the kids, had a lot to say.

I think we all had a really great time. I hope there will be photos posted soon enough as cameras were clicking.

We want to have another meet up sometime in the not-to-distant future… so if you’re an Ottawaite with an XO, please join us!
